Meaningful movement reflection
Nature turns without apology, and so should we.
A tree does not cling to its leaves when the air sharpens. The river does not resist when rain swells its body. The geese lift into the sky when instinct tells them to move. Each knows that change is not failure — it is simply the next step in a larger rhythm.
So often, though, we hesitate. We stall at the doorway of change, fearful that letting go will make us less, smaller, unprepared. But the opposite is true: resisting keeps us small. When we hold too tightly to what is passing, we miss the resilience that comes from leaning into what is emerging.
Change rarely asks our permission. But it does invite our participation. Just as autumn carries both shadow and brilliance, our own turning seasons carry loss and possibility together. To acknowledge them, to let them move through us, is to walk in step with life itself.
What would it mean for you to turn without apology — even slightly — this week?
Tiny tip of the week
When you feel resistance to change, pause. Name what you’re holding on to — and what small shift might free you.
Connection prompt | Fall
Apologies can hold us back or set us free.
Reflect: Where in your life are you apologizing for change, when it may simply be time to turn?
See you next Monday by the fire.
